About the club

A community of swimmers, sea lovers, and lifelong friends.

“Joining Glenalbyn Masters was the best decision I ever made. The swimming is brilliant, but it’s the people who make this club truly special.”

WHO WE ARE: A SWIMMING CLUB BUILT ON FRIENDSHIP

Glenalbyn Masters SC is a Dublin-based Masters swimming club for adults aged 18 and over. We’re a friendly, inclusive community of swimmers who share a love of the pool and open water, a respect for the sport, and a deep appreciation for the people who show up at the beach with us, week in and week out.

We swim along the beautiful Dublin and Wicklow coastline, train in the pool, race throughout the Leinster Open Sea season, and gather afterwards for the all-important coffee, cake, or pint. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just starting out in open water swimming, you’ll find a warm welcome and a place that feels like home.

But what really makes Glenalbyn Masters special isn’t the swimming. It’s the people. From the chats on the beach before a 7am dip, to the cheers at the finish line of every race, to the post-swim coffees that turn into long catch-ups, this is a club where friendships are made, kept, and celebrated.

OPEN WATER SWIMMING

We swim year-round in the stunning waters along the Dublin and Wicklow coastline. From Killiney Beach to the Forty Foot, the Irish Sea is our pool.

COMMUNITY & FRIENDSHIP

More than a swimming club, we're a community. Our members come for the swimming and stay for the friendships, the laughs, and the post-swim coffee.

RACE &
EVENTS

We compete in open water races throughout the Leinster Open Sea season & beyond. From local swims to national events, there's always a race on the horizon.

ALL ABILITIES WELCOME

Whether you're an experience or just getting started with open water swimming, Glenalbyn Masters welcomes swimmers of all levels aged 18 & over.

COACHED SESSIONS WITH CANDICE CONRAD

Whether you’re looking to improve your stroke in the pool or build confidence in open water, our coach Candice Conrad runs coached sessions on Sunday afternoons at UCD’s pool. Candice also offers one-to-one open water sessions for members who want personalised support to take their swimming to the next level.

If you’d like to find out more or book a session with Candice, simply fill in our short contact form and we’ll put you in touch.

“WE DON'T JUST SWIM. WE SHOW UP FOR EACH OTHER, IN THE WATER AND OUT OF IT.”
